Movin’ on…Up? Sideways? Everywhere?
The social media landscape is complicated, right? And what better way to make it even more so by posting your thoughts in 3 different places?
Starting today, I will officially migrate my personal/random thoughts to my new Tumblr blog. This is because I can link it to Twitter more easily from Tumblr, streamlining the process.
The wordpress blog, which I do love, will remain a place for detailed/through aka longer random thoughts on media/entertainment with more TV/movie recaps/projects. I will link to new wordpress blogs from Tumblr.
The end result (I hope) is more frequent blogging (via Tumblr) and a place where I can air focused (HAH!) thoughts on tv/movies.
Still with me? Awesome. Here’s the link:

Conversations with Liza: Home Remedies
It’s Friday. The office has been a little wacky this week. No wonder conversations like these abound:
Liza: Monica says you can put Mylanta on your sunburn, let it dry, and then your sunburn gets better and you get brown.
Me: Really? Huh.
Liza: Also she suggested putting lemon on Kameron’s sty.
Me: WHAT?! But that’s an acid.
Liza: But it didn’t help.
Me: In a group of fairly well-educated adults, nobody thought this was a BAD IDEA?!
Liza: I think it spread more afterwards.
Conversations with Shu: Moi Dix Mois
Shu: You know, of the concerts I went to at AX, the moi dix mois concert was the more interesting:
Me: Is that a woman? A man? Is this goth rock?
Shu: That is a man. He is never out of cross-dress though. It’s like visual kei, but yeah it’s like goth metal.
Me: I mean, it’s interesting -
Shu: -The music is so bad. I hate that music.
Me: -but the music is AWFUL. It’s an assault on my ears I do not appreciate.
Yosemite
After a 3-day weekend in Yosemite, it feels a little weird to be back in civilization again, to be able to Tweet and blog and have reception again. That being said and despite all of the fun of camping, never have I enjoyed a shower as much as I have after this trip.
Here’s one of my fave pics so far – we hiked up to Nevada Falls (feat. in the picture) and this was the view on our hike down (More to follow on Flickr):

How I Spent Part of My Weekend
Writing on a grassy lawn:

Hiking in Andrew Molera State Park:

The only thing to make it even better? Beach bonfires and BBQ. Oh how so very lucky and fortunate we all are to live where we do and do what we do. Hope all had a great 4th.
Conversations with Shu: Universities
Me: How different would our lives be if we’d gone to a traditional university?
Shu: Traditional university? Oxford?
Me: With football and frats, you know.
Shu: Yeah, neither do I.
Yet another classic example of why I find Shu’s company hilarious. Oh, Shu. Oxford?
