I feel kindof bad for the pigeons, but you have to admit this report of hired folk shooting down pigeons at Wimbledon is a little amusing. Perhaps funny? It could have been a scene in a Wes Anderson movie and the pigeon assassin would be Angelica Huston. Not chuckling? Okie dokie then. I am officially the most awful human being.

Then, on the recommendation of my neighbor, I watched the 2000 Penelope Cruz movie “Woman on Top.” Not a bad premise, but boring in execution and rather flat. Yeah, it was not good. But lo and behold, here was Michael circa 2000:

Then I checked IMDB and found out he played Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet and Link in Matrix 2 and 3. If he hadn’t gotten his breakout role in Lost, I wonder if he could still develop a niche within the character actor universe for drag. Perrineau’s done it once in Woman in Top and then in Romeo & Juliet when Mercutio’s all dragged up at the ball. Yeah I made it a verb, what up!

Forbes released their annual Celebrity 100 List. In the grand scheme of things, it’s trivial yes blargh blargh blargh, but there are some rankings that made me go, “Whaa?” Apparently, Radar Magazine’s confused about some of it too. But the most depressing part is that Lauren Conrad of the Hills ranked No. 97 and makes about $1.5 mil./year while Tina Fey, who makes arguably one of the best comedy half-hours on TV currently, ranked No. 99. I’m a little biased as Tina Fey is my hero and I have never seen The Hills. But still…

Even with the Top 20 performing last night on So You Think You Can Dance, I STILL cannot get over how INSANE this audition from this LA popper is. Insane. It’s like he has no spine. Or any ANY bones at all.
